CA approves appointments, nominations of 29 senior military officers

The Commission on Appointments on Wednesday approved the nominations and ad interim appointments of 29 senior military officers.

The CA committee on national defense, chaired by Cavite Representative Luis Ferrer IV, recommended the names of the Armed Forces of the Philippines officers to the plenary after the bicameral panel unanimously approved their respective nominations and appointments.

The CA approved the appointments and nominations of the following AFP officers:

• Joe Anthony C. Orbe to the rank of Commodore
• Mario Lito I. Retirva to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
• Pablito F. Melchor to the rank of Colonel, Chaplain Service (Reserve)
• Jearie Boy P. Faminial to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
• Ariel C. Halasan to the rank of Captain, Philippine Navy
• Dean B. Ramos to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army (Reserve)
• Diosdado Carlos D. Pambid to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
• Constancio M. Espina II to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
• Silas D. Trasmontero to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
