127 more cops get COVID-19 –PNP

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) climbed to 25,070 on Tuesday with 127 more police officers testing positive for the illness.

The latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries also rose to 23,257 after 195 additional policemen defeated the viral disease.

The death toll, meanwhile, remained at 69.

So far, there are 1,744 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 reached 1,280,773 with 1,202,257 recoveries and 22,064 deaths.

Data from the Department of Health showed that 58% of the country’s intensive care unit beds are in use while 38% of the mechanical ventilators are occupied.

In the National Capital Region, 53% of the ICU beds are being utilized by patients while 35% of the mechanical ventilators are in use. — DVM, GMA News
