Filipinos have been frustrated for so long because their needs are not met –Robredo

Vice President Leni Robredo, one of the presidential or vice-presidential nominees of anti-administration coalition 1Sambayan for the 2022 elections on Saturday underscored that Filipinos have long been frustrated because their needs are not being met.

In a message she sent to the coalition during the announcement of nominees, Robredo said the root causes of these problems should be identified and addressed.

(I believe that there is no single answer to the country's problems, but rather all of us working together is the answer. The first step is recognizing the root of the problem.)

(The country's needs are not being met, aspirations remain out of reach, Filipinos have long been frustrated and some people are using these frustrations to divide us, using it to emphasize our differences rather than emphasizing the things that bind us.)

Robredo also called for bayanihan and unity to address these problems.

Aside from Robredo, also named as nominees for the presidency and vice presidency were former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, Senator Grace Poe, CIBAC party-list Representative Eduardo Villanueva, lawyer Jose Manuel "Chel" Diokno, and Batangas Representative Vilma Santos-Recto.

Poe and Santos-Recto already said they had no plans for the presidency nor the vice presidency in the coming elections. — DVM, GMA News
