Bong Go to public: Be like live NBA fans, get vaccinated

By MA. ANGELICA GARCIA,GMA News

Senator Christopher "Bong" Go on Monday night urged Filipinos to be like NBA fans and go get vaccinated against COVID-19.

"Magpabakuna po kayo kung gusto niyong makalabas ng pamamahay ninyo," Go said in a briefing with President Rodrigo Duterte.

(Get vaccinated if you want to venture out of your homes.)

"Sa mga basketball fans, tingnan niyo po 'yong NBA... sila po ay nakakapanood ng basketball, mga audience, may crowd na po eh. Tayo dito sa Pilipinas medyo huli pa tayo at nakikita niyo na mayroong pag-asa dahil 'yong bakuna lang talaga," he said.

(To you basketball fans, check out the NBA... fans can go to games, there's an audience, a crowd even. We here in the Philippines, we're a little behind. But there's hope, and that's vaccination.)

Go called on the public to trust the vaccines and to not be afraid to get inoculated.

"Matakot ho kayo sa COVID-19. Ang bakuna po ang susi, solusyon natin dito sa problemang ito," he said.

(You should be worried about COVID-19. Vaccinations, that's the key, the solution to this problem.)
