Over 1M AstraZeneca vax doses arriving in July —Palace adviser

Around 1.17 million doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines for the private sector are expected to arrive in the country on July 14, Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion said on Friday.

Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, Concepcion also said that vaccine supplies for the private sector will be arriving every month starting July.

“Darating na ‘yang AstraZeneca ng July 14 at August 14, 1.17 million bawat buwan. Kasunod noon, September hanggang January, ibibigay pa sa amin yung final number noon. Siguro by July,” he said.

Aside from AstraZeneca, Concepcion said Moderna vaccines against COVID-19 are also expected to arrive in July and August.

Concepcion earlier said the private sector tapped Zuellig Pharma as logistics provider.

He said, each company that participated in the tripartite deals can decide for themselves on who their inoculation implementer will be.
