PNP reports 148 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippine National Police  on Saturday reported 148 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infections, bringing the total to 26,644 among the ranks.

Also, the PNP said that total recoveries rose to 24,651 after 161 more patients recovered from the illness, while the death toll remained at 71.

There are 1,922 active cases within the agency.

Meanwhile, the Philippines has reported a total of 1,353,220 confirmed cases, of which, 59,439 are active; recoveries rose to 1,270,243; and deaths to 23,538. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LBG, GMA News
