Palace not keen on segregating vaccinated from unvaccinated ones in establishments

By LLANESCA T. PANTI,GMA News

Malacañang on Monday said the suggestion to segregate individuals in business establishments depending on whether or not they got vaccinated against COVID-19 cannot be implemented at this time.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque was responding to the suggestion of Presidential Adviser for Entreprenuership Joey Concepcion to have such a policy which he said will allow businesses to safely open amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We will study all suggestions but we have only been able to vaccinate eight million to date,” Roque said.

“Hindi pa ito panahon para gawin ‘yang ganyang hakbang. Pag-aaralan natin kapag dumami na ang nabakunahan,” Roque added.

(This is not the time for that. We will study it once the number of vaccinated individuals increase.)

The Philippines has a supply of at least 12 million COVID-19 vaccine doses.
