PNP reports 116 new COVID-19 cases

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) climbed to 27,157 on Thursday after the agency reported 116 new infections.

According to the agency, 130 more personnel have also recovered from the illness, bringing the total to 25,358 while the death toll remained at 72.

There are also 1,727 active cases in the agency.

Meanwhile, the Philippines has reported 1,378,260 confirmed cases, of whom 1,302,814 have recovered and 24,036 have died. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
