Team Leni Robredo dedicates feeding events in 37 areas to PNoy

In tribute to the late former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, volunteers of Team Leni Robredo on Saturday held community feeding events in 37 areas across the country.

"We want to honor the legacy of PNoy and we decided to dedicate our nationwide community feeding on June 26 to him," David Santos, one of the volunteer coordinators, said in a statement.

According to the team, feeding events would be held in Barangay Sacred Heart in Kamuning, Barangay Sta. Monica in Mindanao Avenue, Barangay 193 in Pasay, Barangay La Huerta in Parañaque, and Barangay NBBS in Navotas.

Feeding programs were also to be held in Isabela, Laguna, Quezon, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Masbate, Camarines Norte, Albay, Sorsogon, Camarines Sur, Guimaras, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and Cebu.

Aquino passed away at 61 on Thursday due to renal disease secondary to diabetes.

He was laid to rest on Saturday afternoon at the Manila Memorial Park.  — DVM, GMA News
