PNP: 90 more cops sick with COVID-19

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) rose to 27,544 on Sunday with 90 more police officers testing positive for the illness.

The latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries climbed to 25,704 after 85 additional police officers defeated the viral disease.

The death toll remained at 73.

So far, there are 1,767 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 reached 1,397,992with with 1,321,050 recoveries and 24,372 deaths.

Data from the DOH showed that 57% of the country's intensive care unit beds and 37% of the mechanical ventilators were utilized.

In the National Capital Region, 45% of the ICU beds and 32% of the ventilators were in use. — DVM, GMA News
