Taguig suspends use of Sinovac doses pending DOH authorization

The local government of Taguig on Monday suspended its use of Sinovac doses in its vaccination versus COVID-19 pending authorization from the Department of Health.

In a Facebook post, the local government said it would reschedule the deployment of first and second dose using Sinovac for those included in the A1- A4 category.

"As of 12 noon, June 28, the DOH has yet to authorize the use of the vaccines we currently have in our cold chain facility; thus, the need for cancellation of vaccination schedules," the Taguig LGU said.

"We will resume as soon as we receive the proper documents from the Department of Health for the latest shipment of vaccines, which we already have in our cold storage facility," it added.

"We are working closely with DOH so we can immediately resume vaccination," the city government said.
