NTF: Philippines has inoculated 11M Filipinos vs. COVID-19 so far

The Philippine government has so far administered at least 11 million doses of various vaccine brands against COVID-19 as of Friday, deputy chief implementer Vince Dizon of the National Task Force said.

(We were able to administer one million doses in the last four days until yesterday, and so we reached the 11 million mark.)

(We will be able to inoculate more people in the coming weeks and months as vaccine supply arrives.)

The Philippines has 17 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine supply so far, which includes various brands such as Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sputnik V, and Moderna.

Most of the present supply comes from Chinese vaccine Sinovac.

The government's COVID-19 vaccination program, which started last March 1, aims to vaccinate 50 to 70 million of the population to achieve herd immunity. —LBG, GMA News
