PNP personnel with 'noteworthy deeds, accomplishments' to receive rewards

The Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI) will give at least P5,000 cash or in-kind to police personnel or teams who exhibit noteworthy deeds and accomplishments.

On Tuesday, the PNP and AFI launched the “Pulis Magiting x Pilipinong Magiting” with a signing of the memorandum of agreement.

“It is a modified spot award and communication programs that recognize exemplary acts of courage and professionalism among the PNP uniformed personnel,” PNP chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar said in a statement.

“Likewise, it is aimed to strengthen positive public image perception towards the PNP and boost the morale of its personnel as they perform their sworn duties,” he added.

Awarding ceremonies will be held every first Monday of the month, the PNP said.

Around 15 to 20 awardees per month in the next six months beginning this July 2021 will be rewarded. Then, bi-annual reviews of the program will be conducted to improve and sustain the project.

The memorandum of agreement was signed by PNP chief Eleazar, AFI president Ruel T. Maranan, and senior director for communication Celerina Rosales-Amores in the ceremony at Camp Crame. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
