OCTA: Lowered NCR restrictions possible once 20-40% are vaccinated

The OCTA Research group on Saturday said the lowering of restrictions in the National Capital Region (NCR) is possible once almost half of its population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

According to a report on “24 Oras Weekend,” OCTA said it would be best to lower restrictions once 20% to 40% of the NCR's population has been fully vaccinated.

OCTA earlier said the Philippines was still at moderate risk from COVID-19

. This was because some areas in the country are still at high risk.

Data from GMA News Research showed that 8.7% of the NCR has been fully vaccinated.

On Thursday, the Department of Health said the Philippines has been classified as a low-risk area for COVID-19 after the national case growth rate and average daily attack rate decreased.
