Philippines administers 14M doses of COVID-19 vaccine


The Philippines has administered 14 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine so far, with at least four million people already fully vaccinated with two doses, Malacañang said Thursday.

At his regular press briefing, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said this was achieved by vaccinating an average of 257,157 people daily.

"The 4.04 million fully vaccinated constitute 5.78 % of our target," Roque said.

The government aims to vaccinate 58 million people for population protection by the end of the year.

Roque said that around 7.7 million COVID-19 vaccine doses are expected to be delivered to the country from July 15, to July 17.

These 7.7 million doses include:

  • 250,800 doses of Moderna on July 15
  • 1,150,800 doses of AstraZeneneca on July 16
  • 1,606,600 doses of single-dose Johnson and Johnson donated by COVAX facility on July 16
  • 1.5 million doses of Sinovac arriving by July 17 and
  • 1,593,400 million doses of Johnson and Johnson on July 17
