COVID-19 cases in PNP top 30,000


The number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippine National Police breached the 30,000 mark on Wednesday after the police organization announced 68 new infections, bringing the total to 30,010.

According to the PNP, total recoveries climbed to 29,012 after 275 more policemen defeated the viral disease.

The death toll also rose to 81 with one new fatality.

So far, there are 917 active cases within the police organization.

Earlier in the day, the Quezon City Police District reported that 82 of its personnel have tested positive for COVID-19.

Manila Police District, on the other hand, reported six active COVID-19 cases.

 

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 increased to 1,562,420 on Tuesday including 1,478,625 recoveries and 27,318 deaths.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/AOL, GMA News
