99 more policemen get COVID-19

The number of COVID-19 cases within the Philippine National Police reached 30,837 on Wednesday after 99 more employees tested positive for the virus that cause the disease.

Latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries increased to 29,437 after 61 more police officers defeated the respiratory illness.

The death toll remained at 85.

So far, there are 1,315 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 rose to 1,619,824 with 1,528,422 recoveries and 28,231 deaths. -- BAP, GMA News
