138 new COVID-19 cases reported in PNP; total now 31,364

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday said 138 new COVID-19 cases were reported, driving up the total coronavirus infections in the organization to 31,364.

Fifty-six new recoveries were also reported by the PNP Health Service, thus the total recoveries reached 29,699.

One new fatality was reported, making the death toll now 86.

PNP chief Guillermo Eleazar said the fatality is a 48-year-old police corporal

Eleazar said he talked to the superior of the deceased and ordered that assistance be offered to the family.

Meanwhile, 1,579 cases remain active.

The PNP said 61,253 or 27.65% of its personnel have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 56,808 personnel received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. —KG, GMA News
