114 more policemen get COVID-19

The number of COVID-19 cases within the Philippine National Police increased to 31,799 on Wednesday after 114 more employees tested positive for the virus.

Latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries rose to 29,899 after 77 more police officers defeated the respiratory illness.

The death toll climbed to 88 with one new fatality.

So far, there are 1,812 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 rose to 1,688,040 with 1,577,267 recoveries and 29,374 deaths. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/RSJ, GMA News
