The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday said it will be coordinating with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to find its missing agent who is believed to have been abducted.

In a statement, PNP chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar said he already directed the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to help the search for Investigation Agent I Merton T. Fesway.

PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva ordered the creation of “Task Force Fesway,” a 24-man intelligence and investigation team, to expedite the search for the missing agent.

According to the PDEA, Fesway was supposed to meet a confidential informant prior to his disappearance.

Fesway, a 38-year-old native of Samoki, Bontoc, Mountain Province, is assigned at the PDEA Regional Office III Pampanga Provincial Office in Angeles, Pampanga.

Eleazar also urged the public to help by providing information that could lead to determining the whereabouts of the agent. — RSJ, GMA News
