Duterte bares Duque tried to resign twice, says he won't accept

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III has tried to resign twice but President Rodrigo Duterte said he would not accept his resignation, the Chief Executive said on Monday night.

Duterte made the remark in his weekly Talk to the People days after Commission on Audit published its findings of deficiencies in the Department of Health's use of P67 billion in COVID-19 response funds.

"Do you think papayag ako na may isa dito sa Cabinet member ko na magnakaw maski one thousand? You really think that I will allow it...? Marami diyan sa ibang departamento but not the Cabinet members," Duterte said. —NB, GMA News
