Over 27M doses administered, 12.56M Filipinos fully vaccinated vs. COVID-19 —task force

A total of 12.56 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as the government speeds up the vaccine rollout to curb the spread of the highly transmissible Delta variant.

As of August 15, a total of 27,806,881 doses have been administered, regardless of whether it was the first or second dose, or a single-dose vaccine, the National Task Force Against COVID-19 said in a statement on Monday.

Of this number, 12,565,017 individuals are considered fully vaccinated. The number of first doses that have been administered stood at 15,241,864.

The country had an average of 475,304 daily administered doses in the last seven days, just below the 500,000 jabs per day target of the government.

Malacañang expressed confidence on Monday that at least 50% of the population in Metro Manila would be vaccinated by August 20 — the last day of the enhanced community quarantine in the National Capital Region.
