Ateneo suspends college entrance test for school year 2022-2023

Just like last year, the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) on Wednesday declared the suspension of its Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) for school year 2022-2023 to prevent the risk of transmission of the coronavirus causing COVID-19.

ADMU will instead base its college admissions through academic and non-academic performance in grades 9 to 11, batch ranking at the end of Grade 11, personal essays, recommendation letters, extracurriculars and disciplinary records.

"This is still due to the prevailing health emergency that will prevent the effective and safe administration of the entrance exam," the university said in a statement.

"The application period for first-year college entry will open in early September 2021, with the exact date to be announced separately," it added.

Further, the university said their guidelines for transfer applications will be announced soon.
