Active COVID-19 cases in AFP reach 1,701 —Zagala

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Armed Forces of the Philippines has reached 1,701, its spokesperson said on Sunday.

"Ang active cases natin 1,701. Halo-halo na po 'yan, mayroong military, kadete, CAFGU," AFP spokesperson Colonel Ramon Zagala said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB.

(Our active cases total 1,701. That includes personnel from the military, cadets, and Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit.)

New COVID-19 cases meanwhile numbered 59, and of this total, 49 have been cleared, he added.

Zagala also said 97,000 or 66% of AFP personnel have already been vaccinated against COVID-19. —KG, GMA News
