PDP-Laban Pacquiao faction crafting 'winnable' senatorial slate —Munsayac

The PDP-Laban faction led by Senator Manny Pacquiao has started crafting its senatorial slate for the 2022 national elections, according to its executive director Ron Munsayac on Monday.

"Yes, in fact may mga informal and initial meetings na po pagdating po sa senatorial slate namin (Yes, in fact we already have informal and initial meetings when it comes to our senatorial slate)," Munsayac told reporters in a virtual interview.

"Mayroon na po at malalakas po 'yung pangalan dito at winnable po talaga (The possible candidates are strong and winnable)," he added.

Munsayac refused to provide the identities of the personalities being considered by the PDP-Laban Pacquiao faction.

However, he said the names include incumbent and returning senators as well as new personalities.

Munsayac said the final candidates should match the principles being pushed by the ruling party and the platforms of its standard bearer for the coming polls.

The possible senatorial bets of the PDP-Laban Alfonso Cusi faction were already floated last week.

The initial list includes House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta; Information and Communications Technology Secretary Gregorio Honasan; Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo; Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade; and Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar.

Munsayac had questioned the said list, saying that the names disclosed were not even members of the ruling party.—AOL, GMA News
