Michael Yang denies involvement in Pharmally, but admits introducing them to suppliers

Michael Yang, former adviser to President Rodrigo Duterte, denied on Friday any relations with Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation, the firm which bagged the billions worth of government contract for the procurement of COVID-19-related medical goods.

During the resumption of the Senate blue ribbon committee hearing on the COVID-19 spending of the Health Department, Senator Panfilo Lacson asked Yang if he has any relations with the said firm.

“Mr. chairman, Mr. Yang said he doesn’t know and he has no relation to Pharmally,” Yang’s interpreter replied.

Yang likewise denied that he was ever involved in any operations of Pharmally.

He said he only knew about Pharmally through news reports.—LDF, GMA News
