DILG says Alert Level 4 enforcement in NCR 'so far, so good'

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Friday said that the enforcement of Alert Level 4 in Metro Manila was so far "good."

"So far, so good coming from the reports from various local government units in Metro Manila," Malaya said in an interview on ANC.

"They have deployed their inspectors to different establishments, checking on the vaccination of individuals who have been going on dine-in in the restaurants because we allowed dine-in," Malaya added.

Local government officials have also checked the employees working in various establishments, according to Malaya.

He warned that Safety Seal certificates of establishments could be revoked if they violate the guidelines of the Alert Level 4.

On Thursday, the Philippine National Police observed that the start of the implementation of the Alert Level 4 was "very peaceful" as establishments comply with the guidelines.

Areas under Alert Level 4—the second highest alert level in the new scheme—are those with infections that are high or increasing while total beds and ICU beds are at high utilization rate.

Under Alert Level 4, intrazonal and interzonal travel for persons not otherwise required to remain at their residences may be allowed subject to the reasonable regulations of the local government of destination.

If successful, the alert level system will also be implemented in other parts of the country.—AOL, GMA News
