PNP: Cops with COVID-19 now at 38,219

The Philippine National Police on Sunday reported 162 new cases of the novelcoronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among its personnel, bringing the total tally to 38,219.

Likewise, the PNP said that total recoveries increased to 35,495 after 170 more cops recovered from the viral disease.

Meanwhile, the death toll among the ranks remained at 113.

So far, there are 2,611 active COVID-19 cases within the police force.

Nationwide, COVID-19 cases rose to 2,347,550 with 2,126,879 recoveries, and 36,583 deaths. —Ma. Angelica Garcia/LBG, GMA News
