PNP destroys P30.4 million worth of marijuana in Mt. Province


The Philippine National Police on Thursday destroyed P30.4 million worth of Marijuana after narcotics officers raided three clandestine cannabis farms in Sadanga, Mountain Province.

In a statement, PNP chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar said the cannabis plantation sites had a total land area of 15,200 square meters.

These marijuana farms were discovered in separate locations in Sitio Paras, Barangay Saclit, Sadanga.

According to the report of Cordillera Regional Director Police Brigadier General Ronald Lee, 152,000 fully-grown Marijuana plants were destroyed.

“All uprooted Marijuana plants were burned on site except for a few samples that were submitted to the Provincial Crime Laboratory Office in Bontoc for qualitative examination,” the PNP said.

An investigation was launched to identify the owners and the individuals who maintained the Marijuana plantation. — DVM, GMA News
