Senate panel asks NBI to look for Pharmally’s Mago

The Senate blue ribbon committee on Monday asked the National Bureau of Investigation to help locate the official of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation who recently revealed that the company may have swindled the government.

Pharmally regulatory affairs head Krizle Mago could not be reached by the Senate after she divulged in last Friday’s hearing that expiration dates of the face shields they delivered to the Department of Health had been tampered with, panel chairman Senator Richard Gordon said.

“The chairman and the committee [are] worried as to the safety of Ms. Mago of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation, a resource person in our investigation, after her damaging testimony against probable co-conspirators,” Gordon said in a letter to NBI officer-in-charge Eric Distor.

“In this regard, the chairman requests the NBI to help us look for her.”

Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra later in the day said the NBI had started lookingfor Mago.

"The NBI has directed its intelligence and regional service personnel  to help in locating Krizle Mago of Pharmally," Guevarra said in a message to reporters.

Gordon urged the NBI to provide information regarding Mago’s whereabouts “as soon as possible” or submit them to the office of the Senate committee in Pasay City.

In an ANC interview earlier in the day, Senator Risa Hontiveros said Mago is safe and has been communicating with other groups.
