District, party-list reps seek reelection, file COCs

Some district and party-list representatives who seek reelection in the 2022 polls have filed their certificates of candidacy Friday.

Congressman Joey Salceda officially filed his COC at the Commission on Elections' office in Albay as he seeks a third term as representative of the 2nd district of the province.

"Together, we are an invincible force for good and I offer to lead you and work with everyone on an economic plan that would mightily push 2D Albay into a quantum leap into the future that makes prosperity inevitable and a more equal society irreversible as the legacy of collective effort," Salceda said.

KABAYAN party-list also filed its Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance at the Harbor Garden Tent inside the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila compound in Pasay City.

The party-list's first nominee is Attorney Ron Salo who is currently on his second term as the representative of Kabayan. Dr. Jonathan David Flavier and Bishop Paul Hernandez are the second and third nominees, respectively.

"Ako ay umaasa na muling susuportahan ng ating mga kababayan ang KABAYAN party-list. Makaaasa ang ating mga kababayan na patuloy na isusulong ng KABAYAN party-list ang mga polisiya at proyektong lalong mag-aangat sa buhay ng bawat Pilipino," Salo said.

(I'm hoping that Filipinos will again extend support for the Kabayan party-list. I assure everyone that we will continue to push policies and projects that will empower the lives of every Filipino.)
