Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian seeks House seat in Eleksyon 2022

Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian filed his certificate of candidacy on Friday as he seeks a seat at the House of Representatives.

Gatchalian will run for representative of the city's first district.

Meanwhile, his brother, Deputy Speaker Wes Gatchalian, also filed his COC as he aspires to be the mayor of the city.

For his part, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has not disclosed his final political plans yet for 2022.

He, however, said before that he presented himself as Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s vice presidential candidate should the latter seeks the presidency, so that he could use his political experience in the Executive department. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
