2.5 million Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine doses land at NAIA

Around 2.5 million doses of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine procured by the Philippine government arrived in the Philippines on Friday.

The National Task Force Against COVID-19 said the vaccines landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 at 5:55 p.m. via flight PR359.

“It will be equally distributed to all regions, particularly ‘yung mga kokonti pa ‘yung vaccinated (where only a few have been vaccinated),” vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said.

Galvez also urged the public to get vaccinated.

“Mahal kong mga kababayan kung kayo ay nag nanainis na magpabakuna, magpa rehistro na po kayo at nakikita po natin na very safe po ang vaccine at ito po ay makakaluwas ng buhay at magpapatibay sa ating pag o-open ng ekonomiya,” he said.

Earlier, a total of 883,350 Pfizer doses arrived in the Philippines.
