128 more PNP personnel test positive for COVID-19

The Philippine National Police on Sunday reported 128 new COVID-19 infections among its police officers, bringing the PNP total tally to 40,183.

Total PNP recoveries meanwhile rose to 38,086 after 109 recovered from the illness.

No new fatalities were reported, and the death toll stood at 119.

There were 1,978 active cases in the national police force.

The Philippines reported 14,786 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the country's total case count to 2,580,173. — DVM, GMA News
