The inoculation of the general adult population against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is already underway, the Department of Health (DOH) said Monday.

“Amin lamang pong ia-anunsyo ang pagsisimula ng COVID-19 vaccination sa general adult population (We are announcing the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination of the general adult population),” Health undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in a media forum.

“Ayon po sa ating vaccine cluster… meron na po tayong sapat na supply ng bakuna (According to our vaccine cluster, we have enough vaccine supply),” she added.

She also called on local government units to still dedicate lanes for senior citizens and those with comorbidities.

“Gusto lang ho naming manawagan sa ating mga LGUs na magkaroon ng special o dedicated lanes para sa mga senior citizen o sa mga taong with comorbidities dahil sila po ang mas vulnerable sa malalamang sintomas,” she said at a media forum.

(We call on our LGUs to have dedicated lanes for our senior citizens and those with comorbidities because they are more vulnerable to severe symptoms.)

According to a department circular, the rollout of the vaccination was simultaneously conducted nationwide on October 7.
