PNP reports 58 more COVID-19 cases; total now 41,201

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday said it had recorded 58 new COVID-19 cases among its personnel, driving up the total tally to 41,201.

The active cases are currently 941.

Recoveries meanwhile reached 40,138 after 139 new recoveries were recorded on Saturday.

The death toll on the other hand remained at 122 with no new fatality reported.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday reported 7,625 new COVID-19 infections, marking the fifth consecutive day where less than 10,000 cases were reported. 

According to the DOH, this brought the nationwide tally to 2,705,792.

The active cases are at 78,999, and recoveries are at 2,586,369 with 13,363 new ones.

The death toll meanwhile climbed to 40,424 with 203 new fatalities. —KG, GMA News
