430 female trainees undergo Coast Guard Non-Officers Course in Misamis Oriental

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Friday that 430 female trainees were undergoing the Coast Guard Non-Officers Course in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental.

In a statement, the PCG said the new female trainees would undergo six months of military drills and training on basic soldiery at the regional training center in Misamis Oriental.

Led by Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander Raymond Torremonia, the female recruits started their training on Thursday.

The Coast Guard said the trainees will also undergo education on customs and traditions of the humanitarian armed service.

It added that prior to joining, the female trainees passed their medical evaluation and health assessment, which declared that they were “physically fit” to undergo intensive training. — DVM, GMA News
