Senior high school students invited to Education USA’s application drive

Filipino senior high school students interested in studying in the United States are invited to attend the annual EducationUSA and US Embassy in the Philippines' application drive on Friday, October 29.

In a statement, the US Embassy said students interested in studying in the US will have an opportunity to seek free guidance on their college applications and requirements on Friday at 7:15 p.m.

Education advisors, US university alumni, and other experts will provide real-time college advising on Zoom during the application drive, according to the US Embassy.

Meanwhile, parents and school administrators are also welcome to join.

The US Embassy said the EducationUSA advisors have received P115 million or $2.3 million worth of financial aid from accredited US higher education institutions since 2019.

More than 4,700 accredited higher education institutions in the US, and EducationUSA advisers can help students narrow their options, define their priorities, and plan their college careers.

The US Embassy, however, noted that EducationUSA does not offer scholarships but can assist students in identifying scholarship and financial assistance opportunities.
