DepEd: School holiday break is from Dec. 20, 2021 to Jan. 2, 2022

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Saturday said the holiday break for schools for school year 2021-2022 is from December 20, 2021 to January 2, 2022.

The DepEd said this is in accordance with its Order No. 29, series of 2021.

The school year 2021-2022 is scheduled to end on June 24.

Meanwhile, President Rodrigo Duterte declared November 2, December 24, and December 31, 2022 as working days, the second straight year these were not declared public holidays.

The President's Proclamation 1236 declared All Soul's Day (November 2), Christmas Eve (December 24), and the last day of the year or New Year's Eve (December 31) as special working days.

The proclamation listed 10 regular holidays and six special non-working days. —KG, GMA News
