Año: 10 million gap spotted in COVID-19 vaccination database

By JOVILAND RITA, GMA News

Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año on Wednesday reported that there are still 10 million gap of entries in the vaccination record of the government.

During the taped public address of President Rodrigo Duterte aired Wednesday morning, Año said local government units are tasked to submit their vaccination operations reporting system data daily.

But, around 30% of LGUs did not consistently and immediately forwarded these data, according to him. Some also failed to meet the 6 a.m. deadline.

“May nakikita pa po tayong 10 million na line entry gap na kailangan mapasok sa database (We're still seeing 10 million line entry gap that we have to put in the database),”he said.

Due to this, Año underscored that LGUs should have a senior database officer to ensure their compliance with the submission of their line lists.

The list is a source of information that will be used for individual level records and vaccination certification. It will also be used as a basis for validation and audit.

Some establishments require vaccination certificates before accepting customers such as in the tourism industry.
