The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday said that the Cagayan and Cordillera Regions' daily  average COVID-19 attack rate remained at high risk.

In a press conference, DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said most regions showed a negative two-week growth rate and low-moderate risk case classification.

“Two regions—CAR and Region 2—remain with high-risk ADAR,” she said.

The latest data from the DOH showed that Cagayan's ICU utilization rate was also at a high-risk rate of 77.14% while the Cordillera was at moderate risk with 60.37 %

Meanwhile, in the National Capital Region, Vergaire said the average daily cases in the area had decreased by 50% last week, from 808 to 405 as of Sunday.

With the improvement of the COVID-19 situation in the country, Vergeire reminded the public that this should not result in complacency.

“We must continue to strengthen local response in all areas to hammer down daily cases,” she said.

“Let us encourage our family members, neighbors, and co-workers to get vaccinated, now that the COVID-19 vaccination program includes those aged 12 and above,” she added. — DVM, GMA News
