Malacañang said Friday the Alert Level System will be implemented on a nationwide scale amid the COVID-19 pandemic starting today, November 12.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the Inter-Agency Task Force has approved the nationwide implementation of the Alert Level System in Regions 1, 8, and 12 beginning today; in Regions 2, 5 and 9 starting November 17  and in Cordillera Administrative Region, Regions 4B, 13, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao come November 22.

Under the Alert Level System, lockdowns are limited to communities where there is a high level of COVID-19 transmission.

The quarantine restriction in Mountain Province, on the other hand, has been eased to General Community Quarantine beginning November 16 and will be in effect until November 30.

"To have an accurate assessment in placing areas under Alert Level 1, the IATF directed the National Task Force Against COVID-19 National Vaccines Operations Center and the Department of Information and Technology to facilitate the provision of daily vaccination data, such as relevant data on target population and vaccination coverage per priority group," Roque said.

In addition, Roque said that a Small Technical Group on Safety Seal shall finalize the list of 3Cs establishments to be included in the Safety Seal metric for Alert Level 1 de-escalation.

"LGUs are further directed to conduct an inventory on the total number of 3Cs establishments and number of 3Cs establishments with Safety Seal," Roque added. — RSJ, GMA News
