Partido Reporma senatorial bet withdraws intent to run in Eleksyon 2022

Media practitioner and Partido Reporma senatorial aspirant Paolo Capino announced on Friday that he was withdrawing from the May 2022 Senate race.

"I am officially announcing my withdrawal from the Senate race. The last survey which included my name in it, means my chances of winning are slim to none," Capino in a series of tweets.

"I recognize the need to further introduce myself and my advocacies," he added.

Capino was part of the senatorial slate of the tandem of Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senate President Vicente Sotto III.

Capino vowed to continue pushing for the rights of persons with disabilities as a private citizen.

"I thank Senator Ping Lacson and Senator Tito Sotto for giving the PWD sector a voice in their Senate slate," he said. "I am confident that they will continue to advocate for the rights of the PWD sector."

Capino added that his withdrawal would allow the Partido Reporma to strengthen its senatorial slate. — DVM, GMA News
