Two Japanese Navy ships arrive in Subic —Philippine Navy

Two ships of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) arrived in the Port of Subic on Friday, the Philippine Navy said on Saturday.

These are the helicopter carrier JS Kaga (DDH-184) and the JS Murasame (DD-101). The latter is the lead vessel of the Murasame-class destroyers, the Philippine Navy said.

The vessels arrived for the JMSDF Indo-Pacific Deployment Fleet port call and Maritime Cooperation Activity with the Philippine Navy. 

According to the Philippine Navy, it will have several non-contact goodwill exchanges with the two JMSDF ships. —KG, GMA News
