Thieves run away with Robin Padilla's gun - report

MANILA, Philippines - Unidentified thieves stole a gun reportedly owned by action star Robin Padilla inside his house at a posh village in Novaliches, Quezon City over the weekend. Initial police report showed Armando Rasco, 33, Padilla's house caretaker, discovered the burglary about 2 a.m. Saturday. Rasco told police he took a nap about 1 a.m. and when he woke up an hour later, the actor's 357 Luger, a German-made handgun loaded with six bullets, was already missing. He said a Motorola cellular phone was also stolen. Rasco said Padilla allowed him to use the gun while manning the actor's house at Pines Ville Street, Greenview Executive Village, Barangay Sauyo, Novaliches. But Superintendent Renato Valebia, QC Police District station 4 commander, doubted Rasco's story. Valebia said that if the burglars indeed took the gun and the mobile phone unit, they should have also taken the television set. Padilla reportedly fired Rasco right after the incident. - GMANews.TV
