The policemen checked on his ATM on the nearby ATM booth but failed to get money due to lack of funds. The victim was then brought to MPD Headquarters where he was allegedly forced to eat shabu. While inside the MPD-District Mobile Patrol Unit (DMPU), Mendoza, Lagasca and Gavino allegedly threatened to file illegal drug charges against the victim if he could not raise P200,000 cash. The complainant was only allowed to leave the MPD headquarters after his friend arrived and gave P20,000 to Gavino at the back of the DMPU. The victim’s mother posted her son's story on the Internet. The information reached the office of the Chief Supt Roberto Rosales, MPD director, who immediately ordered the probe. - GMANews.TV
