Clients of PHL embassy in Riyadh to go through overseas voter registration

Filipinos in Saudi Arabia who will avail of consular services from the Philippine embassy in Riyadh will automatically go through overseas voter registration.

In an advisory, the embassy in Riyadh said it will extend overseas registration services to "all Filipinos who will avail of consular services."

"This additional service will also be extended to all clients during the scheduled consular outreach or Embassy on Wheels around the Kingdom," it said.

During registration, Filipinos should bring the original or a photocopy of their valid Philippine passports.

They should also bring their iqamas, or residence IDs.

Seafarers should bring a photocopy of the Seaman’s Book or any document to verify that they are seafarers.

"All Filipinos who will be coming to the embassy for consular services are advised to arrive at least one hour earlier before their scheduled appointments for passport services or expect extended time at the embassy for the conduct of the overseas voting registration," the embassy said. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
