Balikbayan dies while taking ‘selfie’ on Pagudpud highway

A balikbayan who was on vacation with her family was killed after she was hit by a speeding motorcycle while she was taking a "selfie" in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, GMA News' "24 Oras" reported on Wednesday.

Liezel Wage asked that their vehicle stop so she could take pictures of herself and her family with the scenic view as their background.

A wayward motorcycle, however, cut the picture-taking short as it hit her while she took the photo. Her family managed to rush her to the hospital, but she eventually died.

Wage's family has already filed a complaint against the motorcycle driver, who turned out to be a minor. —Rie Takumi/NB, GMA News
