Pinoy crews dance their way to medal finishes at world hip hop competition


Three dance crews from the Philippines made it to the top three in different divisions of the World Hip Hop Dance Champion at the Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University in San Diego, California. Results were announced on Sunday evening (Monday afternoon, PHL time).

Two Filipino teams won silver in different categories.

Legit Status beat JB Star from Japan, but was overpowered by Kana-Boon! from the same country in the Varsity Division.

Meanwhile, Romancon from the College of St. Benilde bagged second place in the Adult Division. Kings United of India made it to third place, while The Bradas from New Zealand took the gold.

For the Mega Crew Division, first-timer Lock’n’Lol from Korea beat defending champions A-Team, which ranked third, and former champs The Royal Family from New Zealand.
