2 dead, 5 hurt in Benguet road accident — report 

At least two people were killed while five were injured after a van they were riding fell into a ravine in Itogon town in Benguet, a radio report said early Sunday.

Bombo Radyo reported the accident occurred in Camiling, Loakan in Itogon.

The report cited initial information identifying the fatalities as Reynaldo Pas and Tita Saguid; and the injured as Cirilo Blas, Eunice Blas, Aries Blas, Carmela Paz and Mika Rufino.

Benguet police chief Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said their initial findings showed the victims were traveling to Kabayan town in Benguet from Baguio City.

The vehicle then went out of control and fell into the 100-meter ravine.

Azurin said the victims were rushed to a nearby hospital. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
